Are Part O airflow rates pushing your
MVHR design to its limit?

#ResiDUCT

ResiDUCT™

As ventilation design requirements increase due to overheating, so do airflow rates, and with that comes the demand for larger ducting, without the space to accomodate it easily.

Meeting new performance standards shouldn’t be a compromise between application and achieveing installed performance.

That’s where ResiDUCT™ delivers.

ResiDUCT™ is a slimline, high performance metal ducting system

Designed to work with high airflow rates for MVHR and to fit in a standard ceiling void without the need for changing ducting type, introducing manifolds and access hatches.

Available in 4 sizes:
300x100mm, 300x125mm, 400x100mm and 400x125mm (equivalent up to 230mm∅)
ResiDUCT™ can work in connection with PVC ducting as a hybrid system design e.g. 220x90mm

Minimises Air Leakage

ResiDUCT™ has been designed to address air leakage, with innovative design features that simplify connections, add strength and prevent bowing as parts are connected together.

ResiDUCT Brochure

Overheating = Increased Airflow Rates = Larger Duct Sizes

A MVHR unit may be powerful enough to deliver higher airflow rates demanded under Part O,
but installed performance will also be dependent on the ducting that it connected to it.

The typical ceiling void in a residential dwelling is approx 150mm

Part O:Overheating may demand increased ventilation airflow rates which will require 180-200mm ducting,
which is not always feasible due to spacial restrictions within each dwelling.

ResiDUCT™ is a slimline ducting solution designed to deliver higher airflows,
typical with overhe
ating with ease within the same ceiling void space.

ResiDUCT can help make Part O compliance simple

Where increased ventilation rates are required to meet overheating planning conditions, a cost effective ducting design is being adopted for MVHR systems - hybrid ducting.  This is different sized ducting, including PVC and metal being designed together to achieve the required airflow rates without compromising space or cost to the project.

FAQs

What duct sizes is ResiDUCT™ available in?

The ResiDUCT™ system is available in the following sizes: 300 x 100mm 300 x 125mm 400 x 100mm 400 x 125mm Bespoke sizes can be fabricated on request. Please call us to discuss your project requirements, or email sales@pinnacleductwork.co.uk.

How does ResiDUCT™ reduce air leakage?

ResiDUCT™ features welded stiffeners for stronger, more airtight connections and maximised airflow. They reinforce weak points found in other joint types. Independently tested — 52% less air leakage than other ducting systems.

What are socket seal joints used in in the ResiDUCT™ system?

Socket Seal joints allow male and female parts to connect together seamlessly without bowing and leakage gaps as parts are pushed together. Socket seal joints air installation time and easily connect with other types of ducting including PVC.

Why is ResiDUCT™ ideal for overheating?

Overheating increases the need for higher home ventilation rates, achievable with MVHR units. ResiDUCT™’s low-profile design fits the same space as standard PVC ducting. It delivers higher airflows — equivalent to 180–225 mm circular ducting.
